xbox 360

Mr. H always pestering me to get himself an Xbox 360 for his next birthday. I don't know why he needs another console when he already has an Xbox console. His reason: more games, graphics, performance, hard disk space etc etc (which i don't really listen too actually.. hehe)

Anyway, as a good friend, I do want to make him happy and buying an xbox 360 is actually one of the plan. But I cannot simply go and buy that thing right? I need to scout around and find Video Game Console Buying Guide.

From there I know that, to have a better gaming experience, I need to also buy the accessories such as wireless controller, play and charge kit and also the headset.

Man, all these will actually cost me a bomb! *sigh*

Sabah - Day 5

• Woke up at 1.30 am. It's still raining outside. Take a shower in the freezing water to adjust body temp with the outside temp.
• Had our supper at 2.00 am. Most of the climbers were ready. Waiting for green light from the park ranger to proceed with the climb to summit. Outside still raining.
• 3.00 am, still no green light. Outside, temperature dropped to as low as 6 degree. Heavy rain and strong wind.
• 4.30 am, still no change. There's no way we can proceed to the summit due to the bad weather. =(. If proceed, it will be damn risky to the climbers and also guides.
• 5.00 am, confimed that the climb to summit need to be cancelled. Went back to our room to continue our sleep.
• 6.30 am, still raining outside but not as heavy as before. So, decided to try to climb to the furthest we could go. And, Gunting Lagadan is the highest point we can reach. The gate to proceed to Sayat2 check point already closed.
• 7.00 am, had our breakfast and get ready for the descend.
• 8.45 am, start our journey descending Mt. Kinabalu. The wind was so damn strong. At one point I almost felt down the cliff due to the wind. Fuhh!!
• 3.30 pm, arrived back at Timpohon gate. The car was ready to take us back to Kota Kinabalu.
• On the way back to KK, made a few stops at: Jambatan Tamparuli and Yayasan Sabah building for photo ops.
• Had our dinner at One Borneo, one of the largest mall at KK.
• Checked in at Ruby Hotel. Washed up. And went out to check out the night market before called it a day.

Sabah - Day 4

• Woke up at 5.30 a.m. Get ready and had a group photo session before off to the Kinabalu Park office for registration.
• Buffet breakfast at Balsam Cafe.
• Introduced to our Guide, Mr. Saudi(sp.).
• Start our climbing around 8.45 a.m.
• It was a clear day. Rather hot actually. We moved in a slow pace. And have a quick rest at each 'pondok'.
• Arrived Laban Rata around 3 pm. Checked in at the Resthouse.
• 5 pm and it started to rain. Damn cold right now. The water was freezing. Freshen up and went down to cafe for dinner at 6pm.
• Called it a day at 9pm. Tomorrow will be a looong day.
  
  
  
  
  
  

Sabah - Day 3

• Rent a car for our next destination, Ranau and Kundasang
• What a lovely scenic mountains view all the way there
• Stop for lunch at Ranau before we went to Poring Hot Spring, Ranau
  
• Since it's a weekend, the place was quite crowded. Hence, decided to get private room for all of us.
  
• After a relaxing soak in the hot water, we went for Poring Canopy Walkway. Imagine, hanging on 41m above the land. Adrenaline rush!
• Then off to Peak Lodge at Kinabalu Park, Kundasang. The lodge was beautiful and we got magnificient view of the majestic Mt. Kinabalu from our lodge. So breathtaking.
  

Sabah - Day 2

• Early start. 6 am, and it's already bright and shine here.
  
• After breakfast, hop on a cab and off to Jesselton Point Jetty. Bought ticket for boat to Pulau Manukan. RM17 for return trip + RM7 jetty fee+RM15 for snorkeling gear.
  
• Spent the whole afternoon at Manukan Island. Snorkeling, sun bathing, swimming. Quite disappointed to find that the corals and the fishes are actually not that beautiful as compared to Perhentian/Redang Island. Nevertheles, the island scenic view and the white beach, and the clear crystal water are awesome.
• Arrived back at the Jesselton Point at 4 pm. Had a late lunch. The others went back to hotel while me and him opt to just had a walk around KK town. Stop at Filipino Market again to buy more souvenirs.
• For dinner, pizza and grilled prawns and squids at hotel room. Yummy!
  

Sabah - Day 1

• Arrived at KKIA around 3pm. Checked in at Shangri-La. Got ourselves nice twin-sharing room. Rest and fresh up self.
• Walked to Filipino Market. It's a market selling crafts, gifts and souvenirs. Pearls and crystals are the specialties. The displayed price are quite high, but u must know how to bargain and the price can go down way low.
  
• Photography session with sunset view by the seaside. Nice.
  
• At night, watched 'The Dark Knight' at the GSC Cinema just across our hotel. Heath Ledger is a legend man. "Why so seriouss??"
  

Excitement

Kinabalu trip will happen in like few days more. Yet, I haven't feel any excitement. Dunno why.
Have no urge to start packing or anything.

But based on my previous experiences, this is actually good. If I don't feel excited before any trips, in the end,i will really enjoy myself and have the time of my life. But, If I was excited , I will feel very devastated and frustrated in the end.

So, this time, gonna set my expectation low.

But I'm not saying I don't prepare at all for this trip. I do train for the climb. And yesterday already bought a few essentials for the trip. Despite my grumpiness and suddenly became so moody, still manage to bring home a luggage and jacket, thanx to a certain someone.

Speaking of which, I think it's been a while since the last time I really sulk. I think I suck at sulking. It won't last long. Yes, I will show long face, utter only few words, but in the end,I just give up. Lame.

Again, I blame it to hormone.

All Work No Play make Jack a dull boy

July certainly one of the busiest month this year.

At work, seems that everyone is rushing to complete the pending projects. You know with the Beijing games and everything. All must be completed by 08.08.08. Lucky number huh?

Yet, there are also lots of blockbuster movies premiered this month.

Though I maybe stuck at the office with the never ending workload, I still need to find time to watch these must see movies:

1. The Dark Night (gonna miss the late Heath Ledger)
2. Hell Boy 2
3. Journey to the Center of the Earth (Brendan Fraser? Yummy)
4. Sex and the City (I know, I know u guys already watch it, but this movie only land to our shore this month)

Tales of the Ex Part iii

Should we still be friends with our ex(es)?

That's the topic on Fly FM Pagi Show this morning. Apparently, Nadia tried to contact his ex, you know just to know how's he doing and everything, but, her ex seems reluctant to pick up his phone.

I've been thru 3 major break-ups.

1st - It's a mutual decision. And we still remain as friends just like before we're a couple till now.

2nd - Quite messy. Involved a near car crash incident. Just to describe how bad it was. So yeah, we lost contact.

3rd - It's an ON-OFF relationship for years. But in the end, I put an ultimatum. No phone calls, no meet ups, no nothing. I don't want to be in contact or be involved with this guy anymore (oh, unless he wants to pay his debt (in which I doubt), then it's ok laa kot).

So, to me, I think it depends on how the break-ups were to determine whether we can remain as friends with our Ex(es) or not.

But eventually, life must go on, aight?

I have another blog, initially the PR is 3/10. But suddenly, the last time I checked, the PR is not available anymore.

Tales of the Ex Part Deux

Let say, my ex & I still in good terms. We still contact each other. As friends, obviously.

But the situation is, I'm already in a serious relationship and he in the other hand is recently single (just divorced).

All this while, my bf seems OK with me befriend with my ex. His reason: I'm happy with you, I trust you. And after all, he's married aight? And I know u will never ever agree to be a 2nd wife.

Fine.

But now, my ex is single again.

So, the question is: If you're my BF, will u still allow me to still keep in touch with this ex? Knowing that, MAYBE I had something to do with his divorce?

Surround System

My car is currently equipped with VCD player. However, due to difficulty on finding VCDs nowadays and of course DVD offer better quality, I'm thinking of upgrading it to a car DVD player.

So, how to choose for a car DVD Player? Shopwiki has the answer. We can make decision based on our budget to get the cheapest car DVD Player systems.

I'm still weighing whether to buy the all-in-one system which fall under the Budget option or the In-Dash Receiver. But, I think I'll opt for Sony DVD-FX701.

What a Saturday morning

One of my favourite Hindi movie was and still is "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee.

I can't remember how many times I cried throughout the movie. The story was so damn touching. And can you believe that the first time I watched the movie, it has no subtitles?

How I wish that time, Iaflindia already exist so that it can provide Hindi translation to Malay/English or provide India translation to others as well for example Farsi translation and Arabic translation.

Iaflindia is probably the best translation India company in the world.

Shop till u drop

Remember in Sophie Kinsella's "Confessions of a Shopaholic", when Becky Bloomwood discovered that shopping for a luggage can be so much fun?

But to me, sometimes, going to the mall can be such a hassle. To find the parking space, to endure the crowded mall and of course there'll always be the annoying shop assistants.

Kiwi Land

My friend just got back from 2 weeks holiday at New Zealand. She showed me the pictures taken during the holiday which mesmerized me with capital 'M'.

My god, that country was so beautiful. Remember 'LOTR' movies that used mountains view of New Zealand as the background? That's exactly the same view that was captured by my friend there.

Mt. Cook

Within that two weeks, she had the chance to travel from Auckland to Wellington, then Christchurch before transit at Gold Coast, Australia on the way back to Malaysia.

And what made me more envy of her, when she told us that she tried all the extreme activities (which NZ is popular of other than All Black Rugby team): bungy jumping, white water kayaking, and even zorbing!!

I believe she didn't experience any problems to find the place to stay at during her visit in New Zealand: Auckland Hotels, Christchurch Hotels, and Wellington Hotels are all can be searched via this site.

Now I'm thinking of spending my honeymoon in New Zealand. Should start hinting this to my bf then... hehe. Oh, and of course start looking for the best honeymoon suite here . =)

My colleague introduced me to this game: Ikariam.

I'm not much of a gamer myself. But, I just gave this game a try.

Guess what, it's been one week since I registered, and I'm hooked!!

If you're familiar with games like The Settlers or Age of Kingdoms, I'm sure you'll be addicted to Ikariam too.

Need to expand my territory now. So chiow.

Spiderwick

My friend got free voucher for GSC movie tickets. So, we decided to watch The Spiderwick Chronicles last Sunday. The movie was shown for quite sometimes here but i just didn't feel the urge to watch it. Maybe coz I thought it just another movie for kids.

Anyway, it turned out to be quite an interesting movie. It did have few suspense moments that caused my heart to leapt out. But I think the storyline was too simplified. Maybe to suite the movie with the kids?

But, since we watched it with free tickets, I guess there's nothing for me to complain about, right?

UK, here I come

One dream that I wish will come true one day is: Tour Europe.

So far, the only place I've been oversea is Australia (oh.. and also Thailand.. but that's another story).

I used to feel envious of my friends who further their studies oversea especially in UK.
So, I made a promise to myself that, one day, I will set my foot on UK soil.

We all know that United Kingdom is consist of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
But I think, Ireland is the place that attracts me the most. Especially Dublin. I first heard of Dublin because it's the hometown of popular boyband, Boyzone (at that time, not anymore now I guess.. hahaa).

One thing about the place is it has such a picteresque scenery. Oh so beautiful.

Some searching in the internet, and I stumbled upon this site which offered list of accomodations in Dublin at an affordable rates.

The site is so useful and definetely will be one of my reference when I'm going to UK to visit these other places: Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Liverpool.

Marche

Last Saturday, my friends who just received their bonus payment and increment treated us for a lunch at Marche, The Curve.

The market concept at Marche gives a new type of dining experience. Here, the guest is given a 'market passport'. And once we shopped at the stations, the passport will be stamped with the items selected.

I ordered Grilled Chicken Chop, Cheese Rosti and mix juice of apple,strawberry and kiwi fruit. Yummy.

The food is good and the staff offered an excellent service.

Oh and also, every Tuesday from 6pm onwards, Marche offer Free to Eat Buffet for RM38.88++.

Hmm.. =)

And I felt so devastated.

He has one of the stronger vocals among this season's contestants.

But, americans had voted.

Good bye Micheal. Definitely gonna miss him from the show. Hope to see more of him in the future.

Shogun

Am damn full right now.

Just got back from my friend's pre-birthday celebration dinner at Shogun Japanese Buffet, Sunway Pyramid.

For RM55 perhead, I think it was worth it. The buffet spread was attractive. There're even a choice of Arabian dishes. In a japanese restaurant? Believe it. Haha.

And the taste of the food is quite impressive. I especially love their teriyaki chicken and of course, the sashimi.

We definitely will return back to this place next time.

And of course.. a very happy birthday, to 'you'!

My Saturday

How was your weekend guys?

Mine was tiring. Yet, quite fun.

-Woke up early morning to send my car to the workshop at Ampang. Need to change the timing belt and also the brake pump.

-Went to KLCC while waiting for the car to be ready. Was thinking of watching a movie there but the queue to buy the tickets was 'oh-so-f**ing-long'. So, we went into Kinokuniya instead. Continued my reading of Sophie Kinsella's "Remember Me". Ohh, I always love this author.

-From KLCC we walked to Pavillion. It was a new shopping mall in KL and we've never being there before. We were amazed on how huge the mall is. Didn't stay long. Just grab some donuts and coffee at J.Co. BTW, I still prefer Big Apple donuts compared to J.Co donuts.

-From Pavillion, we walked all the way to BTS. With a stop at Bentley. He wanted to look at the guitars there. Did nothing at BTS. Got on the monorail and LRT to Ampang station. And head our way back to the workshop to get my car (again, by foot).

I don't know how many miles I've walked today. By the time I got home, my legs were so wobbly.

And now, I'm back at home. Watching Akademi Fantasia concert. Grrr.. these kids' voice suck big time.

Headache

I always have the headache.

But it occured more frequently nowadays.

On last week only, I was attacked with the severe headache for few times.

Need to see a specialist. Soon.

Am so worried now.

Gone

Gone were the days when cute e-cards were sent wishing 'get well soon' when i'm down with flu or even it just a lil migraine.

Gone were the days when phone calls and smses were made tens of times a day just to check how i've been; whether i've take the medication, or having my dinner.

Gone were the days when i can be as 'spoiled brat' and 'mengada-nganda' as possible but still be pampered and treated like a princess.

*sigh*

Pardon me. I'm just high on drugs.

Expectation

That's why I'm reluctant to spill everything out. To explain everything.

Because I always have this high expectation.

So, when the response that I received is not up to what I expected, I felt frustrated.

The love

It seems like most blogs i visited these days are full with mushy lovey dovey stuffs.
A wife dedicated one full entry for her husband. A fiancee wrote a love letter to her fiance. A girlfriend explained how her sweet boyfriend gave a surprise birthday party. And the stories continue...

Somehow, there's one lil part in myself that want to join the crowd. Just to feel the excitement. Once again.

I'm not saying that I'm not happy with current situation. I am. Great companion. Great friends. Still, there's something missing. The spark. The excitement. Feeling of the blood rushing to my face upon hearing those sweet words. The surprise element. The love.

I guess I'm ready to move on one step further. But somehow deep inside, I'm stuck.
